430 Market St Pittsburgh, PA 15222 (412) 325-2000
The original survey of downtown Pittsburgh set aside an open public space, The Diamond. With the addition of a railroad freight terminal at the nearby Point, freshly delivered goods and people naturally came together. The City Market was built within the Diamond and it was quickly surrounded by fruit markets and vendors of all kinds. For the first decades of the 1900s, the Diamond Market Lunch Room at 430 Market served the bustling visitors to what had become Market Square. In the tradition of that thriving market, we welcome you.
